Veggie Street Maps

What on earth is a Veggie Street Map?

I got the idea from this BBC article: http://bit.ly/kdE2Y

"The Belgian city of Ghent is about to become the first in the world to go vegetarian at least once a week. Ghent means to recognise the impact of livestock on the environment. The UN says livestock is responsible for nearly one-fifth of global greenhouse gas emissions."

and here is the kicker: round 90,000 so-called "veggie street maps" are now being printed to help people find the city's vegetarian eateries.

I hope they at least print them on recycled paper.

Come ON, people! Pay attention! There is a better way than 90,000 maps floating around one city. I propose we create this map ONLINE. No printing, it will never be out of date, and you won't have to worry about how to fold it.

Let's start with the many Cafe Gratitudes around the Bay Area, Alive!, Herbivore, and that yummy Vietnamese dive in the Tenderloin.
